This page provides access to beta releases of CCS. Note that releases downloaded from this page are beta software and should not be used for production code. Please use the regular CCS forum for reporting issues with beta releases. We greatly appreciate people taking the time to try out beta releases to help us improve CCS for everyone.

Requirements to Download: You will need a my.TI login to download CCS. If you don't already have one you will be given the opportunity to create one on the login screen.

DVD image (for both Platinum and MCU licenses)

  • ~1 GB
  • Supports Stellaris, ARM, C28x, C54x, C55x, C6000, DaVinci, MSP430 and OMAP.
  • Can be used for FREE with EVMs, DSKs and eZdsp boards that have onboard emulation as well as simulators and XDS100 emulators. Note that eZ430 does not work with this free license (works fine if using the paid MCU or Platinum licenses).

Microcontroller Core (code size limited tools)

  • ~360MB
  • Supports MSP430 and C28x.
  • Code size limited (MSP430 16KB, C28x 32KB)

Getting a License: You need a license to use the CCS Beta. If you already have a license for CCSv4.0, then you should use that same license with the beta. Otherwise you can generate an evaluation license.

The activation topic walks through the process of activating a license. You can also manually copy the license file into '<INSTALL DIR>\ccsv4\DebugServer\license' instead of using the License Dialog browse feature.

If you are using the MCU Core download, it will automatically generate a license on installation and no user action is required.

If you have any issues with license file generation please contact: ccs_license_file_help@list.ti.com.
